Chris Straub, General Manager

Chris Straub’s journey in hospitality began at an early age, working at his father’s restaurant, Au Jour Le Jour, while still in high school. After attending several colleges, he decided to dedicate himself fully to the hospitality industry, his true passion. Chris’s professional experience includes positions at The Sanderling Resort, Ocean Boulevard, and The Blue Point in the Outer Banks. He also spent many years as a manager in both the banquet department and the restaurants at the Hilton Harrisburg.

Chris feels fortunate to have collaborated with numerous creative and passionate professionals throughout his career, individuals who have shaped his approach to hospitality. Among his most influential experiences was watching his father gracefully “work the room” at his charming French restaurant—an example that continues to inspire his own philosophy in the industry.

Chris is recognized by his coworkers as hardworking, knowledgeable, kind-hearted, and deeply passionate about his work. Central to his philosophy is his belief that staff should be cared for with the same dedication as the guests, ensuring a supportive and welcoming environment for all.
